Create texture and depth on your metal shapes by etching with ferric chloride. Working with copper or nickle, learn how to prepare your metal, apply the resist then etch the pieces, simply and safely. Turn your etched masterpieces into a beautiful necklace with a few basic tools. This method of metal texturing is so simple, you can easily try this at home with confidence! 


Skill level: BEGINNER
Length of Class: 3 Hours
Supplies Students Need to Bring: 

  • Wire Cutters
  • Round Nose Pliers
  • Flat Nose Pliers

Instructor will have some tools available for use during class, however students are encourged to bring what they have.

Lise has been teaching for the Fraser Valley Bead Show for many years. She took the past couple of years off to reconnect with her artistic side and returns to us with several fun and informative classes. Lise loves to share her enthusiasm in creating jewelry and easily guides students through their projects. She is famous for having multiple variations of the piece she's teaching - students LOVE the added inspiration!
